November Update

Hi

I thought it was high time I send you an email (while I can) to update you on what the heck is going on.

I'm not sure where to begin...I guess I'll start with the server problems. For the past month my host, Host Department, has been experiencing technical difficulties. (Now here's an example of how NOT TO treat your customers). When my site first began acting up, I emailed them. They replied with a standard technical problem email. I'm assuming a technician didn't even bother to read it. After my sites were down for yet another 48 hours plus, I sent another email. This time I was told that the company had been experiencing diffiulties but that everything had been fixed. To make a very long story short, every 48 to 72 hours I was sending emails to my hosting company. Finally, 2 days ago I (and all their other clients I'm assumning) was sent an email explaining that their servers had been hacked, that they were working on repairing the damage and installing network wide firewalls and that they had no idea when the servers would be back online. So...I don't know when I'll be back online.

I am now in the process of looking for another host, but I really, really didn't want to have to move all my sites. There are literally hundreds of thousands of files that will require moving. It's too bad too. I was with Host Department for over 5 years.

I had finally set up a membership site for you guys. And now that's on hold as well. I buy quite a bit of "stuff" (don't you just love my technical jargon LOL) online, but more often than not, I can't GIVE it away, but I can sell it. So I decided to start a Master Resell Membership Site where I can offer my readers products that can't be given away but can be offered on a paid membership site.

I also have tons of gifts for you, but again, I can't upload them so I can't get them to you yet.

All the gifts I offered in several giveaways have been removed, for obvious reasons. I had great plans for a really cool offer for you for Halloween, plus some other goodies...but alas.

So you see, my host is causing me a great deal of stress and putting a real dent in my business.

But none of the above concerns you. I know you have troubles and concerns of your own. The only reason I'm burdening you with all this is because I believe I should always be honest and upfront with you and I feel I have a responsibility to my readers to let them know what's going on, and why I'm not living up to my promises.

I can't make any promises at this point, except one. I promise that when I finally get this hosting nonsense straightened out, I'll make all the delays downtime and missed offers up to you.

I'll keep you up to date as to my progress in getting back to business.
